Not Your Daughters Jeans Launches E-Commerce Site With New Styles/Washes


Not Your Daughters Jeans(NYDJ) announced yesterday that they will be launching a E-Commerce site. It will include an assortment of prodcuts with exclusive styles and special sizes along with skinny leggings, wide legs, flare legs and colored denim, which is a huge trend right now. On August 1st, NYDJ will debut it's "wear-to-work" collection in a slimming fit that will be work approved for all fashionista's. Since the launch of NYDJ in 2003, they have developed a strong following of jeans lovers because of the flattering fit and stylish look of their jeans. The whole idea of the jeans is to give women a nice lift, add a perfect shape to the curves while making you feel a size smaller. It just keeps everything together. NYDJ calls this, the "Lift Tuck Technology". I don't know about you but for me, I don't need the extra empahisis on my bum so that's why I brought me a pair. "True Grit" star Hailee Steinfeld is the face for MIU MIU's FALL 2011 ad campaign. It should come as no surprise, seeing as the young fashionista has hit the red carpet on a number of occasions in looks from the brand. Love Hailee and her style. It is definitely chic and sophisticated but fitting for her age.

Designer to Watch: Brittany Deshields


As a wardrobe stylist, being able to pull from top designers is great but sometimes working with new and un-discovered talent is greater. BRITTANY DESHIELDS is my new designer to watch and you all should know who she is. She hails from Philadelphia and is a self-taught seamstress. She started her career in fashion in 2004 while attending school at Delaware State University and later transferred to Temple University to pursue her career in fashion. For those interested in a fashion career, there are fashion design courses available online at www.onlinecourses.net. She started participating in fashion shows in Philly and New York. It's summertime so that means the temperatures are high, which also means protecting your skin is very important. So my fabulous find is AVEENO'S ACTIVE NATURALS HYDROSPORT SUNBLOCK SPRAY'S and LOTION in SPF 50 & 85. The higher the SPF, means it will give you full strength protection especially if you don't want to tan. Designed with waterproof technology, it adheres to wet skin to protect it from harmful UVA/UVB rays. The ACTIVE NATURALS formula in this collection was created to be used at the beach, pool and whenever you are active to give you full protection when the skin is wet. It also provides superior sun protection to help build healthier looking skin while you are in the sun. This can also be used on dry skin because either way you still want your skin to be protected. Gewn Stefani is Teaming Up With Target for a Children's Line






If you love Gwen Stefani's LAMB collection for yourself, well now you can have it for your mini me. Gwen will be teaming up with Target to intorduce "HARAJUKU MINI" which will be "Japanese anime-inspired" and retail for $3.99 to $39.99. It will be designed for babies, toddlers and tweens. The line will debut in Target stores and target.com on November 13. Stefani told WWD that “Harajuku Mini is a dream come true. “I’ve always wanted to do a cool children’s fashion line inspired by the super cute and playful kid’s clothing you find in Japan,” Gwen said. Gwen is having a lot of sucees with her LAMB collection so I think this line will do really well for her, No Doubt. I really love the hamburger logo, what do you think?

Marion Cotillard's New Ad for Dior


Marion Cotillard's ad campaign for the new "Miss Dior" handbag was revealed via WWD and the vibe is so peaceful and serene. Marion is a longtime muse for the line and despite the fashion house issues, it shows no sign of slowing down. Marion is holding a nude chain handled Miss Dior handbag in the image while looking at a distance. The ad was shot by Mikael Jansson and will debut  this September in a variety of magazines including Vanity Fair.

Beauty Find: Aveeno Smart Essentials



So I have been on the search for a cleansing wash that won't dry out my skin and that will enhance my skin complexion. The new Aveeno Smart Essentials product line had what I needed. The collection of products was designed to transform the feel and look of over-worked skin by smoothing it, reducing dryness and bringing out a healthier complexion. I have been using the line for the past three weeks and I have definitely noticed a different feel to my skin. My face just felt smoother, softer and it maintained a natural moisture that didn't dry out my skin especially when I spent a day in the sun. My skin tends to be oily and gets dry really fast in the sun but when I started using these products, it definitely felt better.
