I fell in love with LIA SOPHIA jewelry a couple of years ago because of their exquisite and timeless pieces. Originally the line was known as Act II Jewelry and then purchased in 1986 by Victor Kiam who sought out to take the jewelry line to the next level. The line later evolved into a top selling jewelry company and was renamed Lia Sophia in 2004 after Elena Kiam's, the Creative Director's two daughters. This past NYFW Lia Sophia once again came out to give fashionista's an inside look on what's coming up this season. I talked briefly with Elena Kiam about the inspiration for the collection and she said " some of the things that they considered is the season's color, the general vibe and getting back to that carftmanship which they are known for. Also Elena said making sure each is piece is iconic and original is important so that you can feel that you are getting something that is one of a kind. Detailing is definitely key in all of their pieces along with making jewelry that are affordable and that will last. The line has garnished a strong celebrity following which includes Solange Knowles, Hilary Swank, Vanessa Williams, Jessica Alba, Katy Perry, Felicity Jones and more.
